Job Summary
The Project Coordinator in the scaffolding
industry is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in planning,
coordinating, and executing scaffolding projects. This role involves coordinating
schedules, resources, and communications to ensure projects are completed on
time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project
Coordinator acts as a key point of contact for project stakeholders and helps
to streamline project operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in the
development of project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with
the different stakeholders for activities and resources, including labor,
materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all
necessary permits and approvals and paperwork are obtained before project
commencement
2. Communication and Liaison:- Serve as the
primary point of contact between the project team, clients, and other
stakeholders.
- Facilitate
effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
- Organize and
lead project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
3. Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain
accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts,
schedules, and progress reports.
- Prepare and
distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Track project
changes and manage documentation related to scope, schedule, and budget
adjustments.
4. Problem Solving and Support:- Identify
potential project risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation
strategies.
- Provide
administrative and logistical support to the project team as needed.
- Assist in
resolving any conflicts or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a
related field preferred.
- Proven
experience in project coordination, preferably within the construction or
scaffolding industry.
- Knowledge of
scaffolding systems, construction processes, and safety regulations.
Competencies:
- Strong
organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in
project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to
multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented
with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
